Committee for Signage Excellence
The Litter Board has been instrumental in the effort to control the proliferation of unnecessary and illegal signage and billboards on area roadways. One major focus has been to work towards the passage of uniform sign regulations throughout all of the County’s municipalities. We have also conducted a survey of all PennDOT-regulated roadways to determine the level of the sign companies’ compliance with State and Federal laws.
C.O.S.E. recognizes excellent signage through the Signage Improvement Awards, presented annually to the owners of outstanding advertising through outdoor signs.
