 Dog Licenses           {Dog Licenses}  
Dog licenses are valid from January 1st through December 31st of each year.
 
 
 
Regular Dog License Applications
Fees:
$8.45 for a male or female
$6.45 for a neutered male or spayed female
 
 
Senior Citizen Dog License Applications
Fees: 
$6.45 for a male or female
$4.45 for a neutered male or spayed female
 
For Senior Citizen fees (age 65 or older), you must provide proof of age to the
County Treasurer.
 
 
 
Disabled Person's Dog License Application
You should provide a copy of your Social Security Disability or SSI award letter.
Person with a disability is as follows: "a person who receives disability insurance or supplemental security income for the aged, blind or disabled under the Social Security Act (49 Stat. 620, 42 U.S.C. Section 301 et seq.), or who has a handicapped plate under 75 PA.C.S. Section 1338 (relating to handicapped plate and placard)."
 
Fees: $6.45 for a male or female 
$4.45 for a neutered male or spayed female 
 
 
 
** For Lifetime Dog Licenses, the state requires all dogs to be tattooed or microchipped. **

$31.45 for a neutered male of spayed female
 
Senior Citizens Lifetime Dog License Fees
$31.45 for a non-neutered male or non-spayed female 
$21.45 for a neutered male or spayed female
Permanent Identification Verification Form    Lifetime Dog License Application

County Treasurer issues Tattoo Number
* County Treasurer issues Permanent ID Verification Form, completing as indicated - remember to fill "must be returned to Treasurer by" (30 days after the form is issued by the Treasurer)
* Dog gets tattoo
* Dog owner and Veterinarian complete all applicable information on form
* Dog owner returns form to Treasurer. (Form must be returned within 30 days to Treasurer). Form is void if not returned
* County Treasurer completes Lifetime License Certificate
* County Treasurer issues Lifetime License Certificate and Lifetime Tag
*     
County Treasurer files Permanent ID Verification form with License Certificate - Treasurer's copy
 
Microchipping Procedures for Obtaining a Lifetime Dog License

Dog owner obtains Lifetime Application and Permanent ID Verification Form from County Treasurer or person implanting microchip
*
Dog owner has microchip implanted by a licensed veterinarian or licensed kennel owner
* Dog owner completed Lifetime Application
* Permanent Identification Form must be completed by owner and person inserting microchip
*
Dog owner delivers completed forms and fee to County Treasurer

Licensed Veterinarian or Licensed Kennel Owner and dog owner completes Permanent ID Verification Form 
Dog owner delivers in person or by mail the completed forms and fees to the County Treasurer
